Daniel

This is a good post, and something I've thought a lot about. Sometimes I wonder what I've done to my writing by having the blog and its appetite; I wouldn't have the writing without the blog, however.

I guess blogging with, most days at least, some sense of what your post is doing for you makes it more useful. Push yourself to write in new ways and about new things. Post the stuff you're sure is crap, post the ideas that won't become anything more. And my blog has been really useful to my real life - things I've learnt, friends made online and off.

Now, I have a proposal. I am taking a break over Chinese New Year (ten days). Would you like to contribute a guest post or two? On anything...

Laura

Yes, it's a terrific post - expresses what I think we all feel. I like Daniel's comment too.

Everything Ayelet Waldman says is right, but there's so much to add to that picture, not least that I'd never heard of her before I began reading her blog.

Hey girl

So glad to see you are still writing. I seemed to have given up on the blog...i want to at time but then I don't.

Will post something soon....was in Tanzania for 3 weeks...I will put some pics and some experiences soon.

Take care and a very happy new year.

I just emailed the runcible gmail, if it doesn't work, let me know. There is a Murakami fiction piece in the new New Yorker.... if you can't get it let me know and I will send you a copy.
Best,
Kahli
