52 projects has a list so pertinent, it scares me.
It's a not-to-do list:
Do not check your emails ...
Do not go to nytimes.com ...
Do not decide to make yourself an elaborate lunch ...
Do not start going through all the papers on your desk ...
Do not start perusing your own bookshelves ....
Do not start going through your photos ...
Do not start thinking about how your project is lame ...
Do not decide to start a screenplay (unless, of course, that is your project) ...
Do not get up and keep getting yourself a glass of water ...
And, natch:
Do not post to your blog.

Totally off-topic: Wind Up is KILLING me! It is getting ultra wierd and yes, I find myself thinking of it and only it. There was a man with a mark on his face at the grocery store and I wondered if anyone had ever licked it. Yikes.
Enjoying it nonetheless. Thanks for the post... only 100 pages to go.
Good luck with the novel.

So strange, so very, very strange - I know!
What's even more bizarre is embarking on a whole Muramaki tangent, where you read one book after another and just get totally immersed in the oddity of his universe. Oh my.
Still, 'Wind Up' is definitely the strangest of any that I've read so far.
Good luck with those 100 pages!
