Let's start AA-style: my name's Tiffany and I am in danger of becoming one of Those People who defines themselves by a single, big event.
For me, that event was backpacking around the globe for 12 months with my partner, Andrew.
The trip rocked our worlds - in ways that were not always pleasant, or easy, but which radically altered the course upon which our lives were previously set.
We both like the change.
Some of you might know me from my travelogue, 'Always Pack a Runcible Spoon', which chronicled the final six months of our year-long adventure.
'Runcible Spoon' picks up where that travelogue left off. It's the story of life post-trip. What happens when you decide to take your life in your own hands, do something completely fabulous, and then ultimately have to return to life at home?
That's what I'm talking about now. Hope you enjoy the ride!
cats, Japanese convenience stores, movies of all stripes, travelling in Asia, chewy red frogs, other people's beautifully written sentences, soundtracks, pomegranates
